Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer and Lecturer I in the Department of Accounting and Finance, Full Professor in the English Department, Associate Professor in film and film Production, College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Animal Production, College of Agricultures and Senior Lecturer and Lecturer I and II in the Department of Linguistics, African and European Language ( Linguistics Unit) at the Kwara State University.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professor (CONUASS 07)

Candidates must possess

  • a Ph.D in Degree in relevant field with a minimum of twelve (12) years for post-doctoral cognate teaching, research and administrative experience plus at least twenty- one  (21) significant peer reviewed scholarly publications in reputable National and International outlets.
  • Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must also show evidence of significant research direction/supervision at the postgraduate, especially doctoral level.

Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement

Associate Professor (CONUASS 06)

Candidates must possess:

  • a Ph.D Degree in relevant field with a minimum of eight (8) years cognate teaching, research and administrative experience plus at least seventeen (17) significant scholarly publications in reputable national and international outlets.
  • Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must also show evidence of significant research direction/supervision at the postgraduate, especially doctoral level.
  • In addition, expertise in music and or theatre.
  • expertise in area more than one, and ability to teach courses across disciplines would be an advantage.

Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS O5)

Candidate must possess:

  • a First Class Honours Degree, or Second Class Honours, Upper Division Degree.
  • a Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of six (6) years cognate teaching experience plus at least twelve (12) significant scholarly publications in national and international peer – reviewed Journals.
  • ability to develop and execute research project and must show evidence of research direction or supervision at the postgraduate, especially at Masters Level.

Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.

Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)

Candidate must possess:

  • a First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours), Upper Division Degree.
  • a Ph.D. Degree and must have spent a minimum of (3 )years on previous grade plus a minimum of four (4) scholarly publications, and ability to develop and execute research project and show an evidence of research direction or supervision at the postgraduate, especially Master Level.
  • a minimum of five (5) years on previous grade, plus a minimum of six (6) significant scholarly publications in national and international outlets, if without a Ph. D degree.

Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.

Lecturer II (CONUASS 03)

  • Candidates must possess:
  • a First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours), Upper Division Degree.
  • A Ph.D Degree in the relevant fieldswith a minimum of three (3) years cognate teaching experience plus at least three(3) significant scholarly publications from reputable publishers.

Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.

Expertise in area more than one, and ability to teach courses across disciplines would be an advantage. KWASU would also make Joint appointments, between disciplines and departments, where feasible.
