Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Assistant Lecturer, Technologist I, Technologist II, Administrative Officer I and Administrative Officer II in the Department of Public Health, School of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Pure and Applied Science at the Kwara State University. Malete, Nigeria.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Associate Professor (1No)

Candidates must possess:

  • a Ph.D Degree in relevant field with a minimum of eight (8) years cognate teaching, research and administrative experience plus at least seventeen(17) significant scholarly publications in reputable national and international outlets.
  • Candidates must possess ability to develop and execute research project and must also show evidence of significant research direction/supervision at the postgraduate, especially doctoral level.
  • In addition, expertise in music and or theatre.
  • expertise in area more than one, and ability to teach courses across disciplines would be an advantage.

Computer literacy is required for all positions.

  1. Senior Lecturer (3No)

Candidates must possess:

  • a Ph.D. Degree in t
  • he relevant field with a minimum of six (6) years cognate teaching experiences plus at least twelve (12) significant scholarly publications in national and international outlets.
  • ability to develop and execute research project and must show an evidence of research direction or supervision at the postgraduate, especially Masters Level.

Computer literacy is required for all positions.

  1. Lecturer I(1No)

Candidates must possess:

  • a First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours), Upper Division Degree in recognized University.
  • a Ph.D must have spent a minimum of three (3) years on previous grade plus a minimum of four (4) years scholarly publications.
  • candidates without Ph.D must have spent a minimum of five (5) years on previous grade plus a minimum of six (6) evidence of continuing research and publications. Ph.D is, however, required.
  • Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.
  1. Lecturer II (1No)
  • Candidates must possess:
  • a First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours), Upper Division Degree in recognized University.
  • a Ph.D Degree in the relevant fieldswith a minimum of three (3) years cognate teaching experience plus at least three(3) significant scholarly publications from reputable publishers.
  • Proficiency in ICT with demonstrable competence is a requirement.
  • Expertise in area more than one, and ability to teach courses across disciplines would be an advantage. KWASU would also make Joint appointments, between disciplines and departments, where feasible.

Assistant Lecturer (1No)

Candidates must possess:

  • a First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours), Upper Division Degree in recognized University.
  • possess Master Degree in the relevant field and show a strong evidence of potentials for academic career. Candidates must demonstrate potentials of scholarship.
  • Computer literacy is required for all positions.

Senior Technologist (1No)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must possess:

  • SSCE/GCE O’ Level or its equivalent with at least five (5) Credits including English and Mathematics.
  • a First Class (Honours), or Second Class(Honours), Upper Division Degree in Public Health or  related field in a recognized institution.
  • a minimum of two (4) years recent experiencespublic Health is considered on a for one basis.
  • a competencies in personal computer and NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate.

Technologist  (1No)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must possess:

  • SSCE/GCE O’ Level or its equivalent with at least five (5) Credits including English and Mathematics.
  • a First Class (Honours), or Second Class(Honours), Upper Division Degree in Public Health or  related field in a recognized institution.
  • a HND. Certificate in Public Healthor relevant sciences are acceptable.
  • a minimum of two (2) years recent experiencespublic Health is considered on a for one basis.
  • a competencies in personal computer and NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate.

Administrative Officer II(1No)

QUALIFICATION

Candidates must possess:

  • SSCE/GCE O’ Level or its equivalent with at least five (5) Credits including English and Mathematics.
  • a Second Class (Honours) Upper Division, or Second Class(Honours), Lower Division Degree in Business Administration or any equivalent degree in related field.
  • NYSC discharge or Exemption certificate.

Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.

Administrative Officer II(1No)

QUALIFICATION

Candidates must possess:

  • SSCE/GCE O’ Level or its equivalent with at least five (5) Credits including English and Mathematics.
  • a Second Class (Honours) Upper Division, or Second Class(Honours), Lower Division Degree in Business Administration or any equivalent degree in related field.

Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.
