Toyin Falola Wins University of Texas Award

A Nigerian historian and Professor of African Studies, Professor Toyin Falola is one of the University of Texas at Austin’s 2019 top ten.

A statement from the University says Professor Falola emerged among the top ten Professors celebrated by the University of Texas at Austin’s alumni as having made the biggest impact on their lives and for being inspirational. According to the statement, each year, alumni nominate the Professors they felt were the most inspiring to them. From these nominations, ALCADE magazine chooses the top ten professors celebrated by UT Austin Alumni.

Professor Toyin Falola was the Kwara State University’s third Humanities Lecturer.The lecture titled “Humanism and the future of the Humanities” was held on the August 24,2018 at the University.

Reacting to the Award, the Vice – Chancellor of Kwara State University,Malete, Professor AbdulRasheed Na'Allah said the award was well deserved for such an academic of international repute.

He described Professor Falola as an academic worthy of celebration
