The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Professor AbdulRasheed Na’Allah has paid a courtesy call on the newly elected Daudu of Malete, Alhaji, AbdulRazak Olorundare Alieri.
According to Na’Allah, the courtesy call is to further strengthen the relationship between the University and the community and also align the new Daudu with some of the University’s activities.
While pledging to put the name of the Community on a global map through the University’s international activities, he stated that KWASU had also started Master’s degree and PhD programmes.
The Vice-chancellor expressed gratitude towards the community as he said it had supported the University’s drive of being a University for Community Development.
Responding, the Daudu, Alhaji Alieri commended the hardwork of the Vice-Chancellor and his keen interest in the service to humanity.
He expressed that the existence of the University had caused development, drastically reduced unemployment and poverty, boosted the community’s economy and sensitised habitants on the need and importance of education.
Appreciating all the gestures of the University towards the community, he urged the University to report any challenges it might face in the community.
