Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe
Lawal is an Assistant Director and as the ranking staff member, he currently coordinates the activities of the Centre and reports to the Director. He is interested in assisting communities to develop practical skills necessary to ensure the achievement of their full potential.

He joined CCD as a Community Development Facilitator working closely with the members of local communities, helping them to identify needs and strengths in order to develop empowering strategies to meet their goals. Prior to this role, Lawal served as a Facilitator with a number of not-for-profit organisations including, the Initiative for Peoples Good Health (IPGH), Community Change (C-Change) and Enhancing Nigeria’s Response to HIV/AIDS (ENR); and as a Community Volunteer with the Global HIV/AIDS Initiative Nigeria (GHAIN).

He holds a BSc degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Maiduguri and a Diploma in Sharia and Common Law from Bayero University, Kano. He also completed a certificate program on “Facilitation & Training Approaches for Community Change” at the COADY International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Canada.

Abdulrasheed is the Centre’s CDF with the responsibility for promoting environmental sustainability.He partners with other members of KWASU Community and external communities to identify,develop and implement strategies that encourage a sustainable approach to work, study and general lifestyle.
He also doubles as a Member of Faculty at the University’s Plant and Environmental Biology Unit as well as the Centre for Ecological and Environmental Research, Management and Studies (CEERMS). His experience spans across various functions in sectors such as Oil and Gas, Military, Higher Education, and Consulting both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He has capabilities in Sustainability, Environment, Health &Safety,and Risk Management.
Abdulrasheed holds a First-Class Honours BSc degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria as well as an MSc degree in Environment, Health and Safety from the University of Sunderland, UK. He is also an accredited member of both the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
