The mission of the School is to train cultural producers, scholars-artists working across multiple media—dance, dramatic writing, film and tv, fine arts, performing arts, photography, preservation and conservation, recorded music production. Our students will be artists trained within a rigorous academic college that intersects scholarship with artistic production. They will commit their vibrant artistic practices to the development of publics that engage with diverse local communities. Our goal is to become a renowned center of excellence with a competitive edge to artistic and scholarly training taught by national and internationally recognized artists and scholars. Our graduates will be world class artists at the forefront of artistic practices and its scholarship for the 21st century. They will be creators, policy makers, cultural activists and critical thinkers in the role of arts and cultures in Nigerian societies.
