Brief History of the Faculty

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (previously College of ICT) is one of the foundation faculties in Kwara State University, which took off in the 2009/2010 academic session. It started with two departments: Computer Science (which also ran Library and Information Science) and Mass Communication. In 2011, Library and Information Science became a separate department. The foundation Provost was Professor Innocent Okoye (2009-2017), succeeded by Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade.
