It was with great delight that I received the news of the confirmation and swearing-in of one of Kwara State University’s frontline staff, Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe, as the new Commissioner of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development in Kwara State.
Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe was before this appointment the Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency, the Governor, on Community Development. This was a position he executed excellently well, just as he had hitherto performed his role as Director of KWASU’s Centre for Community Development with passion and sincerity. It therefore was no surprise to us at Kwara State University that His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, would find Dr. Olohungbebe a worthy individual to assign greater tasks.
On behalf of the Council, Management, Staff, and Students of the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship, I applaud the Governor of Kwara State for the recognition accorded Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe and by extension, Kwara State University. We at KWASU remain committed to the Kwara project and individually and collectively align with the mandate of the Governor to drive the state to unprecedented heights.
I also congratulate the Honorable Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olalekan Olohungbebe, on this new role. It is our expectation that the excellence with which he and KWASU are known would again be brought to bear in this new assignment.
