Admission Into KWASU Sandwich Degree Programmes
Available Courses for the Four (4), Five (5) and Six (6) Year Programmes

- Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for 2 Contacts
Duration of Programmes
- Six contacts: Minimum of 6 and maximum of 8 contacts for a six-contact programme. This is purely designed for O’ level results holders.
- Five contacts: Minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 contacts for a five-contact programme. Designed for NCE, Nursing and Diploma certificate holders that has less than the required points.
- Four contacts: Minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 contacts for a four-contact programme. Designed for NCE, Diploma, Nursing, HND, B.Sc/B.A/B.Ed certificate holders.
- Two contacts: Minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 contacts for the PGDE programme. Designed for people yearning for certification and qualification in Teaching as a Profession. Applicants must have obtained Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Admission Requirements
1.SIX- contacts Programmes:
- minimum of five credit passes at O’level/WAEC/NECO/SIS/NBAIS/NABTEB &GCE (Mathematics and English language inclusive) in not more than two sittings in related subjects.
- Grade II Teachers’ Certificate (Mathematics and English language inclusive) in not more than two sittings in related subjects.
- Any other relevant qualification approved by the Senate of Kwara State University.
2. FIVE- contacts Programmes:
- Minimum with a minimum pass grade and minimum of five credit passes at Olevel/ SSCE/GCE/SIS/Grade II Teachers Certificate/ NBAIS or equivalent, including Mathematics and English language in not more than two sittings in related subject.
- National Diploma with lower credit/merit from a recognized institution with O’level requirements.
- Any other relevant qualification approved by the Senate of KWASU.
3. FOUR- contacts Programmes:
- NCE (in related areas) with a good grade of not less than 12 points and a minimum of five credit passes at O’ level/SSCE/GSE/SIS/Grade II Teachers Certificate (Mathematics and English language inclusive) in not more than two sittings.
- HND in addition to O’level requirement as in item A above
- Any degree holder who wants to enroll for a degree in related Courses.
- Any other qualifications approved by the Senate of KWASU
4. TWO-contacts PGDE:
Minimum of 2 and Maximum of 3 contacts for the two-contact programme. The Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is designed for Bachelors, Master’s and Ph.D. degree holders willing to be qualified as a Professional Teacher.
All Lectures hold at KWASU International Conference Centre, Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria between the months of July and September each year.
