In one of the traditions of the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship, Kwara State University, Malete, that I cherish, my management team and I, alongside Deans of Faculties, hosted the recently promoted professors of the University to a reception.

This is one event where we welcome staff who have distinguished themselves and have risen to the peak of their careers in a relaxing environment.
The spice in this gathering is that we celebrate them with their spouses present. This is our way of acknowledging and appreciating the support system that enabled our new professors to overcome all odds to become professors.

As I say a warm congratulations to the 20 new professors and their spouses, I am humbled by the loss of one of the new professors, Professor Henry Olawale Sawyerr, who passed on a few weeks after the announcement of his elevation. It is my prayer that God rests his soul and preserves his legacies.

As we move on in the course of driving KWASU to greater heights, my team and I will also not relent in pushing for the growth of both the staff and students of Kwara State University, Malete.

I look forward to my students, great alumni, exemplary staff, and the University as a whole making waves in Nigeria and globally.
Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh.
