I had the pleasure of spending time with staff and students of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences at Kwara State University’s Ilesha-Baruba campus on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
My extended management staff and I visited them to checkup on them, inspect facilities, and ensure that they have settled in well and are not encountering any major challenge.
We met them in high spirits, inspected some of their living conditions, held a meeting with them and put in motion mechanism to address some of their concerns some of which include transportation to and from the campus.
Management will be deploying a few buses to facilitate hostel to campus movement, solar power in some hostels, and some sanitation concerns. This is our way of bringing management close to staff and students in all our campuses.
My team and I were also at the Palace of the Emir of Ilesha-Baruba, His Royal Highness, Professor Halidu Abubakar where I expressed my profound appreciation for the welcome the staff and students of the Campus have received from the community.
The Emir in turn said that the University would always be welcome to his domain.
In all, it was a rewarding visit as we look forward to a wholesomely fulfilling session in the University as a whole.
