Kwara State University main campus is located in Malete, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State. This is the location of the administration home of the institution. It also houses the Faculties of Allied Health Sciences, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Education, Engineering and Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Law, Management and Social Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences. There is also the School of Postgraduate Studies.

On the Malete campus are iconic buildings such as the Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN Senate building, the magnificent Muhammadu Buhari Main University Library, the ultra-modern Performing Arts Theatre, the Mini Convocation Arena, and the faculty buildings earlier listed.

As the main campus, it is also where the university commenced activities in 2009 with the pioneer set of 550 students.

This campus was carefully planned and boasts of wide stretched of well constructed roads, spectacular rows of eucalyptus trees, green areas, and buildings in which trees grow! Indeed, KWASU is the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship, a university committed to protecting the environment and promoting the existence of humans and nature in close proximity.
