Welcome Note
Welcome to KWASU Press and Publishing, the in-house Unit of the University responsible for all printing, publishing and other related activities relating to academia, creative, professional and general subjects. The Unit engages in the provision of general printing, printmaking, publishing, marketing, and distribution.
The Kwara State University Press and Publishing has been in existence since the inception of Kwara State University, Malete. However, in the year 2020, the office was upgraded to both a Publishing House and a commercial printing Centre.
The office is headed by a Director, with an academic staff as a Deputy Director (Publishing). KWASU Press and Publishing has the mandate to assist Scholars within and outside the University with the publication of academic books and other titles. The Unit also prints non-academic books, intellectual works and other related materials that are likely to generate revenue while adding value to the chain of manpower development without losing sight of its academic orientation.
KWASU Press and Publishing is the only accredited source of printing and publishing for the University as a whole. The unit is further empowered to bid for external printing, printmaking or publishing jobs to enable it to enlarge its revenue-generating capacity and compete favourably with other print and publishing outfits. For now, the unit has one Director and four Staff.
