Prof. Salih Muhammad Jum’ah Alaso Appointed Director, Centre for Islamic Contemporary Studies and Arabic Documentation
Prof. Salih Muhammad Jum’ah Alaso, has been appointed as the Director of the Centre for Islamic Contemporary Studies and Arabic Documentation.
The letter of appointment, which was signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee conveyed the approval of the Vice-Chancellor for the appointment.
A Professor of Arabic Literature, Professor Alaso joined Kwara State University, Malete as a Senior Lecturer in 2016 and rose to the rank of Professor in 2022. Within the University, he has served as Head of Department and Deputy Chief Imam of the University.
He is a founding member of the Academic Society for Arabic Language and Literature in Nigeria (ASALLIN), served as National Editor-in-Chief of ASALLIN, and is current National deputy President of the Society.
