Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh has congratulated the winner of the 2025 SPEAKATHON Oratory competition, Miss Esther Olubunmi Olabode and the KWASU contingent for not only bringing honour to themselves but also to the Kwara State University.
The Vice-Chancellor said this while receiving the team that was in the company of the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. Yusuf Babatunde Adiama, and the Head of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Dr. Opasola Afolabi in his office on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Professor Jimoh said that Esther’s victory at the competition showed the institution’s commitment to nurturing talented students who can make meaningful impact in society adding that the victory serves as a motivation to her peers and aspiring public speakers.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the contingent for doing the University proud especially as Esther, a 500-level student, also clinched the Best Orator prize at the competition that featured eight universities from across the country.
On the KWASU team to the competition were also Olawale Abdulquadri Adesina, Afolabi Victor Ayodele, Ajiboye Juliana Oyindamola, and Adegbola Oluwadarasimi.
