The Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete has approved the promotion of twenty staff of the University to the professorial cadre. The ratification was given at the 64th Regular Meeting of the Institution’s Governing Council held on Thursday February 16, 2023.

Five staff attained full professorship while fifteen others were promoted to Associate Professorship.

New Professors: Professor Taibat Moji Yusuf; Professor Dupe Olufunke Ogunbosoye; Professor Issa Abdulraheem; Professor Salih Muhammed Jum’ah Alaso; Professor Yahya Duro Uthman Hambali.

Associate Professors: Dr. Kayode Ayantoye; Dr. Ade Isaac Afe; Dr. Adeshina Fadeyibi; Dr. Adesina Mutalub Lambe; Dr. Aminu Nassir Brimah; Dr. Kabiru Mustapha; Dr. Abdulrahman Sikiru Ottan; Dr. Ayoola Oladunke Aransi; Dr. Tajudeen Yusuf; Dr. Zekeri Abu; Dr. Lukman Bola Abdulra’uf; Dr. Jimoh Ajadi; Dr. Henry Sawyer; Dr. Majekodunmi Rachael Adedayo; Dr. Adeyinka Elizabeth Ajiboye.

Nine thousand eight hundred newly admitted students were formally absorbed into the University for the 2022/2023 academic session during the 14th Matriculation Ceremony. Acting VC Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh assured students of world-class education and reiterated zero tolerance for indiscipline.

The governing council approved the promotion of 6 staff to full Chair and 11 to Associate Professor on Monday, May 6, 2024.
