KWASU PROMOTES 45 TO PROFESSORIAL CADRE
The Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete, has approved the promotion of forty-five (45) of its staff to the professorial cadre. The ratification was given at the 78th Regular Meeting of the Council held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
20 staff attained full professorship while 25 were promoted to Associate Professorship across various faculties including Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture, Arts, Engineering and Technology, Management and Social Sciences, and Pure and Applied Sciences.
The promotions cut across diverse specializations such as Environmental Health Toxicology, Agricultural Policy, Arabic Linguistics, African Literature, Engineering Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Finance, Chemistry, and Biomedical Sciences.
Highlights: Faculty of Engineering and Technology produced the highest number of Professors (6), followed by Arts (4) and Pure and Applied Sciences (4), while multiple Associate Professors emerged across ICT, Education, Management, and Sciences.
KWASU Governing Council Ratifies the Promotion of 17 Staff to Professorial Cadre
The governing council approved the promotion of 6 staff to full Chair and 11 to Associate Professor on Monday, May 6, 2024.
New Professors: Professor Adebayo Abayomi Olowoake; Professor Lawrence Femi Ademiluyi; Professor Adeoye Afolabi; Professor Isiaka Aliagan; Professor Sikiru Akinyeye Ahmed; Professor Aliru Olajide Mustapha.
New Associate Professors: Dr. Aliyu Okuta Ahmed; Dr. Abdulrasaq Mustapha; Dr. Abdulrahman O. Mustapha; Engr. Dr. Abdulwaheed Musa; Engr. Dr. Sefiu Bello Adekunle; Dr. Abdulrafiu Mope Isiaka; Dr. Kafayat Yetunde Olatinwo; Dr. Oyeshola Olufemi Animashaun; Dr. Adediran Dauda Olushola; Dr. Sunday Ojo; Dr. Abdullahi Taiwo Ajao.
KWASU PROMOTES 20 TO PROFESSORIAL CADRE AS THE UNIVERSITY HOLDS 14TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Governing Council of Kwara State University approved the promotion of twenty staff to the professorial cadre during its 64th Regular Meeting.
Five staff attained full professorship while fifteen were promoted to Associate Professorship.
Nine thousand eight hundred students were matriculated for the 2022/2023 academic session, with assurances of quality education and discipline.
