Welcome Note
It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the webpage of KWASU SERVICOM unit. This page has information about KWASU’s SERVICOM Unit, our activities, updates, work plan, students and staff complaint structure, and other relevant information.
SERVICOM means “Service compact with all Nigerians”. It is meant to improve service delivery throughout the country. In the University context, it is about service and service delivery; to identify any point that service fails and to ensure remedial actions that will improve service delivery. With the motto “You have the Right to be served Right,” KWASU’s SERVICOM unit monitors service delivery and ensures that service providers in the University which include lecturers, staff in the Registry, Bursary, Works department, University Clinic and others provide quality services to customers (students, staff, and the public). The University’s customers have the right to be served right.
The University has three main mandates, Teaching, Research, and Community service. While lecturers are responsible for providing quality teaching, research, and community service, other departments in the University provide conducive atmosphere for all these. The Registry provides academic and administrative support services, while the Bursary and Works department provide financial and maintenance services respectively.
Other departments in the University such as the Clinic, Library, Admissions office etc., perform one support service or the other.

Brief History of the Unit
The KWASU SERVICOM Unit was set up in October 2024 by the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, to enhance effective and efficient service delivery in the University. SERVICOM is an establishment of the Nigerian law to ensure that effective and efficient services are provided in the country at large. All Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies/Parastatals including Universities are mandated by law to set up a SERVICOM department in their various organizations and institutions. KWASU, with the establishment of this unit has joined other government agencies in compliance with efficient and effective service delivery.

Programmes and Activities
The following are programmes and activities of SERVICOM Unit:
- -Planning and coordinating the formulation and operation of SERVICOM Charter and service improvement framework in the University;
- Creating awareness within the University community about their right to quality service all the time;
- -Monitoring and reporting progress and performance of all units of the University involved in service delivery;
- -Drawing modality on how to achieve high productivity in the University and ensuring good leadership;
- -Encouraging members of staff to be proactive in their roles, offering better, more efficient, prompt, and transparent service, and
- -Identifying deficiencies in service delivery by service providers in the University.
