KWASU HND/Bachelor’s Top-Up Programme
Who is Eligible?
HND Holders:
- Must have a Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized Polytechnic.
- Minimum grade: Pass (higher grades preferred).
- Must have a recognized university degree (B.Sc, B.A, etc.).
- Minimum grade: Pass degree.
- Ideal for improving your class or switching to a related discipline.
Allows candidates to switch disciplines, e.g., moving into Education to qualify as a teacher or lecturer.
Available Faculties & Courses
- Agriculture: B.Agric (Agricultural Economics, Animal Production, Crop Protection, etc.)
- Education: B.Sc. Ed. Business Education
- Engineering: Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Agricultural & Biological Engineering
- Management & Social Sciences: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration
- ICT: Computer Science, Library & Information Science, Mass Communication
- Pure & Applied Sciences: Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Physics, Statistics

Other Key Requirements
- O’Level: Minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects including English & Mathematics (max 2 sittings)
- Mode of Study: Full-time, Part-time, and Weekend classes
- Application Fee: ₦7,500 (non-refundable)
Application Process
- Visit portal.kwasu.edu.ng and fill out the Top-Up/HND Conversion application form.
- Make online payment (₦7,500).
- Upload required documents:
- HND/B.Sc certificate
- O’Level results
- Passport photograph
- Submit before the deadline (usually end of June for each session).
Programme Duration
Typically 2 years (4 semesters), depending on the chosen course and mode of study.
