KWASU students in the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a community and campus-wide awareness campaign and cleanup.

The 2025 World Environment Day, which has the theme “Ending Plastic Pollution,” saw the students collecting over five thousand plastic bottles, which will be recycled.

Some members of staff of the department, including the HoD, Dr. Olalekan Salami, Professor Paul Ifabiyi, and Mr. Yusuf Iyanda commended the students for their proactive approach to environmental conservation while a prize was awarded to the top student waste collector.
