3rd KU8+ International Conference Ends on a Positive Note
The Chairman of the KU8+ Consortium, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, has urged early-career scholars to take advantage of the mentorship opportunities conferences offer to hone their skills at researching and advance thier careers in the academia.
Professor Egbewole, who is also the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, gave the charge at the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Conference of the KU8+ on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Describing the 3rd edition of the Conference which held at the Kwara State University as a global platform where budding and established researchers share ideas and present findings, the chairman of the consortium commended the host institution, Kwara State University, for putting together a successful conference.
Giving the conference recap, KWASU’s Director of Academic Planning and a member of the KU8+ Local Organising Committee, Professor Emmanuel Ajani, stated that over 1,200 abstracts were received with 806 registered participants.
He added that 615 attended in person and while 191 participated virtually.
The conference, which was with the theme “Innovation and Sustainability of Higher Education in a Changing World,” took place from the 6th to the 8th of August 2025 and also featured a pre-conference.
