It was an engaging 3 days when the Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete, convened for a retreat from February 13-15, 2025, at Pinnacles Resource Centre, Offa, on the theme “Driving Excellence Through Strategic Governance in University Education”.
Three resource persons engaged the Council members. Professor Yusuf Ali, SAN, who was represented by Alhaji B.R. Gold, SAN, spoke on “Ethical Leadership Practices and Decision-making in Higher Education.”
Emeritus Professor Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FAS, delivered a lecture titled “Aligning the Council’s Oversight Role with the Strategic Plan of the University”, while Professor Muritala Awodun spoke on “Best Practices in Resource Mobilization for Financial Sustainability.”
At the end of the retreat, key resolves that will better drive the mission and vision of the University were reached.
