KWASU Partners LA-NET on New Virtual Learning Platform
A new virtual teaching and learning platform, known as Learning Analysis Network (LA-NET), was inaugurated at the university on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh.
The platform is an App developed by Rangeman Technologies Limited.
The Vice-Chancellor, speaking during the inauguration and briefing of academic staff of the university, stated that when eventually rolled out, the App will support the university in its mandate of achieving academic excellence.
Professor Jimoh stressed that KWASU as a trailblazer in innovative solutions to challenges, is the first university to explore the opportunities offered by the virtual platform.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Olubukola Dada explained that the Learning Analysis Network (LA-NET), platform is a user-friendly App that offers an innovative online video tutorial solution aimed at enhancing student learning outcomes, increasing accessibility, and supporting diverse learning styles.
Professor Dada added that the platform is a valuable resource for both teaching and learning as instructors can reach students globally, manage their courses with ease, and earn income through the platform.
The Chief Executive Officer of Rangeman Technologies Limited, Otunba Segun Abdulateef, noted that the platform will not replace physical classes but enhance teaching and enrich students’ learning experience.
He added that the platform was designed to reflect current learning needs and has the capability to showcase the excellent staff of KWASU to the outside world.
To highlight the benefits of the App, Principal Officers, Deans of Faculties, Directors of academic centres and Heads of Departments and other academic staff of the university were given a demonstration and overview of the platform by the developers during a session.
