RAJI EMERGES KWASU STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT
Raji Abdul-Samad Olamilekan has been elected Student Union President at the 2024/2025 Kwara State University Student Union Elections which was conducted via the university’s e-voting platform.
In a release signed by the Chairman, Students’ Union Electoral Committee, Ibrahim Yemi Abdulazeez, and the General Secretary, Students’ Union Electoral Committee, Halimat Anuoluwapo Ifamuyiwa, Raji Abdul-Samad Olamilekan polled 4,192 votes to defeat Yahya Temitope Lambe who polled 95 votes and Mahmoud Adesina Olubori who polled 1,902 votes.
Other executives elected include Olajubu Oluwabusayomi Deborah who was elected Vice President; Feranmi Joseph Aremu elected as the General Secretary; Abdulrasheed Abdulwahab elected as Assistant General Secretary; Ajisomo Abdulwaliyuu Olasunkanmi as the Treasurer, Iliyas Muhammad Awwal Afolabi as Auditor; and Muhammed Habibullah Gbolahan as the Financial Secretary.
Victor Olayinka Otitodun was elected Public Relations Officer (PRO); Abdulazeez Usman Isiaq, the Welfare Director I; and, Kewulere Mustapha Adetayo as Welfare Director II.
Others are Benita Ifunaya Frank as Social Director I; Abdulfatai Abdulrahman Olamilekan as Social Director II; and Aiyenigba Inioluwa Peter as the Sports Director.
The Students’ Union Electoral Committee while commending the active participation of KWASU students and the courage and dedication of aspirants in the election process described the election as peaceful, transparent, and conducted in strict compliance with the university’s electoral guideline.
The committee also congratulated all the winners, encouraging them to serve the interest of all students with integrity, fairness, and a deep sense of responsibility.
