KWASU Material Science Engineering students led different categories at the Engineer Dr. Friday Ichifu Apeh Students Essay Competition of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Engineers International Conference that took place at Ta’al Conference Hotel, Jos Road, Lafia, Nasarawa State, from 21st to 25th June 2026.
In the physical presentation category, Sofiat Oyindamola Uthman won 1st Best Midwal Engineering Award of Engineering Innovation and Excellence and the Engr. Ikenna Okonkwo Best Female Award of Engineering Innovation and Excellence while Rofiat Omowumi Adeyi won the 3rd Best Midwal Engineering Award of Engineering Innovation and Excellence.
In the virtual presentation category, Peace Ozioma Osigwe won the 1st Best Midwal Engineering Award of Engineering Innovation and Excellence.
