Three Landmark Commissioning Today

My management team and I carried out 3 landmark commissioning today, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in 2 neighboring communities to Kwara State University, Malete.
The first was at Okete Community, where we commissioned a solar powered borehole donated by students of the Green University for Community Development and Entrepreneurship as part of their Community Development project.
The second and third commissioning were in Gbugudu Community. There was a solar nanogrid electrification system and an existing borehole that was upgraded to a solar powered pump to ease usage for the community.
I am particularly excited because these are projects carried out by staff and students. 28 members of staff from various faculties came together to donate the nanogrid solar power system to the Gbugudu Community. Their self-sacrifice has provided a clean energy source to a community.
The 2 borehole projects, too, will immensely and positively impact the people of the 2 communities, providing them with easy access to potable water.
I commend my staff and students for living up to the mantra of their university, and I eagerly anticipate the next set of students/staff-driven interventions in communities around the state.
